Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and networking issues - Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure components such as servers, wireless APs, switches, and routers, etc.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to implement and support technology solutions - Respond to faculty work orders and provide timely resolution to technical issues - Document and track support tickets.
- Conduct training sessions to educate users on technology best practices
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools - Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users and team members As a Field Technology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our schools and school district.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and maintaining IT components, and providing training to users.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
Additionally, excellent communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with users.
We are a small school disctict with 3 schools, 1 district board office, 1250
students, and 150
faculty and staff.
The IT department is currently one person, but we are looking to hire a second member of the team to offer position redundancy as well as to train someone to take over the Technology Coordinator role upon retirement of existing person (in approximately 2 years).
We offer competitive compensation packages, most major holidays off, approximately two weeks time off at Christmas, spring break vacation, and summers are usually 4 day work weeks.
